Lifted Healing

A 12-week small group program for gay men to help you go from being burdened by shame to radiating your light within a community of like minded brothers.

April 13 - June 29

  • These sessions range in topic from inner boy healing, sexual healing, and more.

    Each session includes both a teaching to understand what has shaped your past as well as a healing with your body to transform your relationship with yourself on a cellular level.

  • These sessions are where we share our experiences in intimate conversation with our group of brothers to build community and receive group support while integrating the healing that’s taking place.

    Think of it as a moderated men’s circle focused on vulnerably sharing, learning and connecting with men on the same journey of transformation that you are.

  • You’ll receive four 1-1 sessions with Rio to customize the program to your specific needs.

    Though you will have similar experiences to the other men in the program you will also have very specific areas of healing that will be addressed in these 1-1 sessions.

  • Guided meditations and integration practices to use between live sessions.

  • We open and close this healing container with intention. Beyond the actual sessions in which we meet, there’s an energy of divine love that supports and guides each man in this group.

    These ceremonies are the containers that invite divine love to work with us.

  • Connect with your brothers in healing through the community portal where you can chat and share your experience throughout the program.

Lifted Healing is the opposite of conversion therapy.

It’s about detoxifying yourself from the shame that tells you you’re broken and need to be “fixed” or “better”.

It’s a call to unburden yourself and heal the false beliefs that have kept you from shining.

It’s about loving your inner boy who’s been on the sidelines, waiting to be fully self expressed and accepted.

It’s a path of healing that helps you re-member that who you are as a gay man is perfect and divinely right.

It’s the path of freeing yourself from the weight of traumas and the lies of unworthiness.

How it works

  • We’ll meet weekly every Sunday 10:30 -12:30 Pacific Timezone from April 13th to June 29th

  • This is a live program that requires your live attendance. Think of it like a retreat in which your engagement and interaction is part of the special sauce which allows us to transform dense, outdated energy into your gifts.

  • Every other week we’ll have a Healing Session
    on a particular topic, in which you’ll experience healing through various modalities including somatic practices (body based meditations, breathwork, movement) and creative practices (writing + drawing).

  • The week between the Healing Sessions is a Brotherhood Session
    in which we’ll meet and integrate through sharing our experiences of the previous week’s healing topic (sexual healing, inner child healing, etc.) These sessions give us a deeper bond, help us see ourselves through the mirror of our brothers, and allow us to heal as a group.

  • Between our live calls you’ll have recorded meditations and practices to use throughout the week for consistent support and guidance.

  • You’ll also receive four 1-1 sessions with Rio ($800 value) to support your specific areas of healing and focus.

  • Throughout the 12 week journey you and your brothers can stay connected through the community portal where you can share updates and support each other through the process.

I’m Rio, your guide on this journey.

I’m a somatic coach, breathwork facilitator, spiritual + sexual healing guide, writer, and human being committed to the healing and empowerment of gay men and our unique role in this world.

I spent most of my life trying to fix myself.

I tried to fix myself by traveling the world, changing careers, using sex, porn, alcohol, drugs, fashion, relationships, and any other way I could find to try to feel simply “OK”.

All of this was unconscious seeking that I became aware of when my healing journey began many years ago.

Throughout my healing, I pieced together the resources that felt right for me as a gay man with gifts to share with the world, but also struggles with my relationship to my body and my sexuality.

I found solace in spiritual and healing spaces but I never felt that those spaces were meant for me or the gay experience.

When I sought out gay healing spaces, I found they often lacked the depth and spiritual foundation I had found in non-gay spaces.

I spent years gathering pieces of wisdom and practices in a patchwork way; taking a little from this teaching, a bit more from that group, some from this modality…

Always modifying it to fit my homo experience. I’m sure you know what I mean. Perhaps you’ve experienced your own version of this.

This why Lifted Healing exists.

It’s the synthesis of all the healing modalities, teachings, and space-holding that I found most effective and deeply personal, woven together to create a healing path that honors the spiritual purpose of us gay men—those of us with gifts to offer the world.

What is healing for us homos?

  • A reclamation of your magic as a gay man, made to stand out and be seen.

  • A detoxification of the shame you've been taught to carry.

  • Freedom from the burden of feeling like an outsider with no template for your uniqueness and sensitivity.

  • A re-membrance of who you truly are, before the weight of trauma and beliefs of unworthiness took hold.

  • The reunion of parts of yourself that you fractured off to fit in or feel safe.

  • Seeing yourself through the eyes of the divine, knowing you have great purpose simply by being who you are.

    That said, I know that life happens and if you’re unable to attend a couple of sessions, you will be able to use the recordings on your own.

  • In our Healing Sessions I will be speaking on the topic for that week (sexual healing, inner boy healing, etc) and then taking us through a healing experience(s) that utilizes your body and creativity to change the story of the past.

    These healing experiences will vary and are all designed to go beyond your mind’s understanding of the past and liberate the heaviness of old beliefs.

    On the weeks between Healing Sessions we will meet for Brotherhood Sessions which are focused on group sharing and vulnerable discussion on the previous week’s healing topic.

    These sessions are designed to help you integrate the healing sessions and to learn from the experiences of others while healing through the shared experiences.

    Between our live sessions you will have integration practices to use on your own to continue the healing.

    You will also have four 1-1 sessions with me to focus the program to your unique needs. These may be healing experiences or coaching conversations.

    Lastly, the community portal for discussions will be another valuable resource for being supported by the group and offering your support to your brothers.

  • Each week is about 2 hours of live sessions on Sundays and you’ll receive recorded integration practices to use daily.

    Those practices are optional but encouraged and run between 10 - 60 minutes.

  • There will be a max of 10 men in this program so that you all get a personalized experience and are able to truly get to know each other.

    The program is designed to have bi-weekly sessions that are group discussion and sharing on the previous week’s healing topic.

  • If you have relationships with men, have felt like an outsider and experienced shame because of your sexuality, and resonate with having unique gifts to bring to the world, this space is for you. Be aware that I will use the language of “gay” or “homo” when lovingly referring to us as a group.

  • Absolutely not. This program is about revealing who and what you are, including your gifts through healing. Lifted Healing is unburdening yourself of all that you are NOT to let yourself shine and that can result in more clarity of your gifts or simply to feel more peace and joy.

  • This is something to consider. I speak about our gayness as a spiritual gift and though you definitely do not need to believe in any specific spirituality in this space, having an openness to healing the past with spiritual guidance will be very helpful.

  • We will meet weekly via Zoom every

    Every other week we will have a Healing Session on a topic such as sexual healing. In these sessions there is a teaching on the topic followed by a healing experience.

    The week following the Healing Session we will have a Brotherhood Session which is the space we share and discuss the previous week’s topic. Think of it as a moderated heart circle. So much healing happens in this space of sharing and seeing ourselves in each other.

    Between our live sessions you will have recorded guided meditations and practices to utilize throughout the week.

    You will also have four 1-1 sessions with me to customize the program to your specific needs.

  • As this is a program is only open to a small number of men, there are no refunds.
